To everyone who supported this man or is now mocking those who are speaking out against him - Shame on you.
The night of the election I watched my family sit stunned in disbelief. I saw many of my friends near and far fearing for their safety. I stayed up half the night trying to comfort a friend who was on the phone, crying. And then people have the nerve, the naivety, to say things like "get over it" or "give him a chance". You might not be an outright racist, misogynist, or homophobe yourself, but when you said the man who IS deserves to be our president, you sent the message that such behavior is acceptable. you held the door for sexual assault and bigotry. And that is NOT okay.
edit: my original sketch of this has dialogue in it, which I ended up leaving out of the final version originally because I loved how much the colored image was coming out that I just wanted to frame it as that and put words in the description instead. But finding out how much my wife liked the original, I felt badly, and decided to restore it more to it's original look.

Typically how I interact with someone who hurts me like that is...I tend to be distant of course, since they make me uncomfortable. But if they approach me, i try to be stern and fair as I can. If they ask why I'm upset with them, I attempt to be honest, and civil and talk about it.
Unfortunately, this doesn't always work out,as they may for example, become petulent and defensive as soon as you explain why their behavior hurt you. But it's worth trying, I'd say.
I'm still not sure how all ofmy biological family voted. One of my relatives started defending him when I posted this on facebook. That was dissapointing..

Sorry for the delay in responding. Wanted to make sure this was as clear as possible.
At present, GLBT people have been removed from the upcoming census, though recently sexual orientation was added back in for elderly GLBT people according to the Human Rights Campaign.
However, with a number of anti-GLBT cabinet appointees and anti-GLBT individuals being inserted into prominent roles in this administration...along with Pence, who is rabidly anti-GLBT...I would not at all be surprised if the administration attempts to declare GLBT people "undesirables" before 45's days are done.
Based on the rhetoric and legislation being bandied about in DC right now AND on the state level (see Texas' recent legislation regarding adoption and their "bathroom bill"), this is a bad time to be anything other than white, straight, "Christian" (please take note of the quotation marks), and male.

First don't call me sweetheart you condescending twat. Second my profile picture is of actor Norman Reedus which I fucking love because he is amazing in the walking dead. Has NOTHING to do with my behavior in fact it has more to do with his attitude to the producers of the show wanting to water it down like they do to every show to make production costs lower. Nothing about my comment was either rude or insulting. You on the other hand insult people by being a smart ass idiot. You along with everyone else need to calm the fuck down and accept that the rest of the country finally told you NO and won't put up with your stupid gimme gimme gimme attitude. You should feel bad. I wasn't talking about your avatar, I was talking about your info and journal on your page, repeating yourself twice, making fun of weasyl for being 'triggered'. Makes it look like you made your account just to bully victims of traumatic experiences, which alone was enough to get me feeling scrappy and wanting to make fun of you.
But to seriously answer your initial comment - I'm not going to bother with all the other nonsense accusations you ranted at me with because it has nothing to do with me or my picture - People tend to call republicans names because Republicans tend to go out of their way to hurt and control people such as women and lgbt folks. And it is absolutely infuriating then to have them call us intolerant when we finally push back after being oppressed our whole lives. This growing trend of bullies trying to play the victim card when their targets finally fight back is absolutely disgusting to me. I can only be polite in the face of my oppressors for so long before I snap back.

I've tried to have legitimate calm discussions with people and they just freak out and block me just because they don't want to hear other people's opinions. They even yell slurs! Like...
Now, Tackyboi is obviously only hear to agrue and is not part of the fandom, so I'am not condoning what he is doing, but I will tell you that maybe he wasn't always like this and maybe he started feeling this way as a reaction to some...antics...towards his demographics.

Also, I did actually agree with the Muslim ban, Islamophobia is completely valid and is as reasonable as naziphobia.
