"Let Me be Your Shelter" by Volt Siano

"Let Me be Your Shelter"

Volt Siano

So, the other night I was thinking, I should draw something. So I go to draw something, but it turns out rather... questionable. I put it away for a later day and go back to the drawing board for ideas. Then I had the idea to do a drawing based on a song. At the time, I was listening to Brother, and the idea for this piece popped into my head. Originally, I was going to use one of my older characters to wait out the storm with me, but then I remembered Ghoul, and the comic he had used me in; so I was like, "Hey, Ghoul! Wanna' be in my next pic?" and he was like, "Yes!" And here's what I got! Not my best work, admittedly, but it's a work.

So, longish origin story aside, hope you like it! Leave any comment you may have (you know, if it's relevant and helpful/encouraging). There's always a certain joy in seeing that people care enough to talk about what you made. L=

My pleasure! You want me to send you a collection offer, or is it fine right here?

Looks good! I like that it's a full scene. :D

Thanks! Yeah, most of the time I just use a few components and leave the background blank; helps to keep the focus on the characters (and it lets me be lazy =P). But I feel like I can pull off a decent background when I need to. L=
Good to know you like it!

Hey, so long as you pull out all the stops and give it the best you've got, it's okay. I mean, how long have you been drawing? If you don't mind me asking, that is.

I've been drawing on here since May

Okay. I mean, if that's how long you've been drawing total, you're gonna' get a lot better just by continuing to draw. I've been drawing for three years now (well, I've drawn before that, obviously, but I like to count my works since then) and I'll tell you this: my art used to suck. I've improved a lot since then, and if my experience is anything to go by, you probably will too. L=
