And then He Realized...

Volt Siano

I'm not sure if it's this way for others, but as time passes, I begin to notice little flaws in my past sketches. It could be that some parts look out of proportion, or maybe it's just not as colorful as it could be. Either way, I notice them eventually, and this is pretty much what it feels like for me.

I recently I saw my first drawling of me had tiny triangle ears and it still bugs me (you can see for yourself, its the one where you told me how to lighting that shizzzzzzzzz-nik)

Yep. I think a lot of people have these moments, at least every now and then. ¯\(ツ)

    I feel the same way.

Good to know that it's relatable. L=

Brought here from your Hater post (hilarious and accurate!). Man, looking back at some of my really old stuff... and then some not so old but still facepaw worthy stuff... It's depressing. But we learn from those flaws, so if you notice them now, it means you're improving!

Well, I used the word depressing because I thought it would be unexpectedly humorous. If anything for me, it's more of me looking at the old picture and then noticing a small error, and my mind just says, "No, NO, NOOOOOOOO!"
The really old art though, I already know it's bad; so when I look at it I just give in to the inevitable cringe.

But, on the other hand, the fact that we notice these mistakes shows that we're learning, and we can try to avoid them next time. Depressing, enraging, cringe-worthy, or otherwise, it took the old art to get better. (Even if it sucked.)
