the sweater was hard. I'm not good at drawing flowers and stuff, so I should work on that maybe

I would say to draw a few and then tile them, like a printer of clothes would usually! That'll cut down on the work and you can flip and transform them to give more shape variety.

I will experiment! making patterns has always been a struggle for me because I've never exactly been sure how to go about it. Its usually why my backgrounds are just gradients or simple colors :(

perspective tools make it easier to work within. If all else fails, draw giant food with bites taken out of them, even the drinks.
