Looong ago, in a strange land called Minnesota, a group of gamers decided that they wanted to hold a convention. A previous convention had had mixed results, so a new name was chosen: Genericon. It lasted one year. In it's second year, 1991, a nightmarish blizzard hit the Twin cities on October 31st, the starting date of the convention. And thus Genericon died, something like $500 in debt. I was one of the people whow helped get it going.
