This building in the Black Forest was a former sanatory and then for a short time a hotel until the roof burnt down only some years ago. Now it is nicknamed the Palace of Mold, and the reason is obvious when you enter it (in fact you can smell it just from outside). The mold conquered the still nicely done up rooms and gave them its very own beauty. Interestingly the most windows and mirrors are still unbroken – the mold seems to be a certain protection against vandals. (You should not enter this building without a gas mask.)

The mask was not for show; this building is so full of mold you can just smell it outside. We didn't want to risk that exploration without breath protection.
