A neat perspective on this kind of technology! I tend to assume brain uploading/emulation is done to a software-only form first. I wonder whether starting off with an obviously robotic body, but in the real world as opposed to a virtual one, is easier to adjust to. And how much of the new mannerisms is a real personality change versus just having fun with how the new body can do things like the musical chime on page 1.
