I Installed these stainless steel on a cheap samick acoustic today that I am using as a Guinea pig for a few things. I had done a bit of research before hand on doing stainless steel fretwork that led me to believe that this was going to be a huge nightmare, but it went far smoother than expected. That being said, I have an unusually high amount of fretwork experience under my belt, from independent work, training, and not to mention the 3 years I spent doing fretwork on production guitars at Rainsong. All of my standard tools worked on the new and harder material and other than one or two things I ended up needing to do differently, the installed just like normal nickel silver. I will say that leveling the frets took a lot longer than normal though and killed more sandpaper. I'm looking forward to getting the setup done on thing guitar so I can try these new frets out! Also, this will be a hella great thing for my business! I can now start offering stainless steel fretwork and be one of the few shops that does it.

I'm guessing that Stainless lasts longer, wears slower than brass or nickel?
