Metal Slug has some of the best spritework ever. It's beautiful, well animated, and looks great. I haven't done a lot from the games though because it's so complicated. Marco here is an exception, I've done one or two pieces of him before.

I had to take some liberties with the sprite- his pants were more of a desert brown then the urban gray I used, but I like how the substitution turned out!
