Gex isn't among the 90s mascot characters that shouldn't have died. I mean geebus just check out his "backstory" and what his games are about. He ain't no Bubsy but he has "my designers had no idea what they were doing" all over him.

So why did I pick him?
Cause he looks good this way. And for some reason the cheesy "wise-ass" attitude made the mental image of this fit like a glove.

Maybe I should draw him again sometime.
Or maybe Daxter next.

Originally planned for two layers of shadow painting. I was running out of time to finish this picture today, and didn't want to wait until monday, so no 2 tones of shading. Only one.
Also I know he doesn't have those face-stripes things, but when I showed the work in progress to others they said he looked better.

I couldn't think of a better quote to put. Don't know the character that well.
