Blood of a Tree by SlippingStar

Blood of a Tree

SlippingStar

Created in 2011 for my 3D-2 class. The assignment was to make something influenced by Catawba pottery. I based mine off the wedding vase, which has two spouts on one body. I used additive methods to build it.

It is completely functional, with the inside being hollow and the vena cava and the pulmonary artery open. The only thing it is lacking anatomically are two of the pulmonary veins.

It is painted this way to show how water is the blood of trees.
