Rough color MFF commission for xdragonstormx of his Houndoom-Veemon hybrid character, Gideon, ramping up some sort of large fire spell. Oh goodness. Careful of where your robe swishes!
Since this was another "channeling magic spell" commission, I tried to push things a little further in interesting imagery. So instead of standing and holding a flame as others have done in the past, we went a route I sort of went with the Sine character -- active. Channel that fire, push foot back, and get ready to blast someone in the face! It created a struggle at first, but for any flaws it created, I think the strengths and things I learned outweigh that!

Normally I'm not much for Pokesonas or Digisonas or any of that. I prefer original characters... Buuuut, I admit if it's a Pokemon or something I like, or your hybrid looks pretty good like Gideon here, then I'm more willing to give it a shot~
Thank you kindly! (The cape took a bit, to be honest. Needed a few repaints and adjustments, especially once mentor pointed out the fire was messing with the cloth and would have set on fire. Oops!!!)

For the benefit of other artists when I do trades (or commissions at conventions), if an artist excels at a particular fan-art of a type...then I've got a 'sona for it. :) That way I don't have an artist who does MLP fan-art the best tell me that my fursona Wabi (or any of my furry OC's really) is "too hard" for them to draw...I have an MLP original character they can do instead. XD Most people can never draw my original "fursona" and the one who has always represented me online, Keira-Jo...because they claim to be "awful" at Sonic art (I honestly wouldn't mind if they adapted a more anthro style for her, but no one ever wants to), so I gave up long ago asking people to draw Kei for me--which is why I created Wabi, who is a more standard canine fursona. :) And why I created other fan-art 'sonas as well...that way I have something ANYONE can draw somewhere in my arsenal! laughs

That's definitely an interesting hybrid...I caught the Houndoom parts! :) (I have a Mightyena PokeSona myself.....) Let's hope they bought a fireproof cape! XD
As usual...love how you did the lighting from the effect! And the spread of the cape is pretty cool, feels like it draws your eye right to the center (character's body and face)! :D
