Only the Eyes can see what you percieve...

DrakeRogers

This particular piece started out as a comedic concept for Liz's
love of coffee. Had this in my notes for the past year and a half but never
had time to get around to it. Over time a new meaning went into the effect
of drawing it.

When one goes to a museum to see creative concepts for art and other things, a certain occurance will always
take effect. One person will stand in front of a painting or art piece and continuously stand still, staring and not moving an inch.
The one thing I think is what goes on in the minds of the individual continuously staring. Are they contemplating the meaning? The process in making the piece? We don't know, but it has an impact once we lay eyes on it. To me, it's what to expect and embrace when we are in the presence of creativity.

At a young age of 11, I was dragged by my folks to head over to New Orleans for the day b/c they were displaying paintings and sculptures that were from big museums touring the US from different cities. A few particular pieces were of Claude Monet's work. When arriving to the section at the time, I was bored at that age. It was when I noticed Claude's work up close, between The Bridge and The Waterlilies I stared. I even practically got away with touching the canvas of The Waterlilies when my mom snagged it my hand quickly before security could notice. Since then I found art a little more interesting from the years on until highschool.

In a nutshell, this is a comedic, yet philosophical pic for the mind.

Hope you enjoy Lis. ^^
