Full Painting Commission for SkieFire of FurAffinity of Skie, the dragon, patrolling the skies of his forest territory, the rainforest having reclaimed the ancient temples many eons ago. He's making sure they stay that way...

Full dragon Painting, hooyah! This was a lot of work, but so much fun! Of course I had to put him in a pretty complex pose, what-with a lot of overlapping features, but it actually turned out way easier than I had anticipated. I got this lineless stuff pinned. BD

And this file is HUGE! I made it a larger than my typical pieces to pack in as much detail as possible. Every single claw has quick and 'blood groove' detailing, each part of the wing membrane connects to his wing arms, and all knuckles are individually scaled.
Though simple, I rather like the background - I love those rolling mountains. Temples and nearest foliage left simple and slightly blurred to keep focus on Skie there.

Due to the heavy amount of layers to blend a very blue dragon into a very not-blue background, I'll be posting Skie here as a standalone piece here soon in his 'true' colours.
