Brazilian Rosewood Fretboard by Drewfustehfox

Brazilian Rosewood Fretboard

Drewfustehfox

This was an odd find. This fretboard belongs to a "Slammer" student grade guitar made by the Hamer company and looks to be from the mid 80s at the very latest. Brazilian rosewood was pulled off the market in the 1930s. Guitar manufacturers had stockpiles though, and when those stocks got thin, a lot of them used the last of it to make bridges and fretboards. This is either the last gasp of this companies stock, or was an extremely illegal purchase on their part. It is a beautiful piece of of wood though.
