I have really been wanting to do some surf rock stuff lately. I just got my new recording area setup and my newly refurbished strat so I wanted to try sitting down and doing one today.

The song, as most know, has many famous versions but the one in particular that was on my mind while doing this was that of Duane Eddy though this arrangement is mine.

The guitar I am playing is the very first guitar I ever bought. It was a cheap old kay strat copy until about a month ago when it got completely rebuilt. It really is a sweet guitar now, both in its tone and hansom looks. I am still dealing with one or two technical difficulties with this new work station. I usually prefer when recording electric guitars to run through a proper amp but the line level inputs on my line 6 UX8 have decided that they are going to be difficult with me so until I get that resolved, my lovely little orange crush will not be in any recordings unless it is miced.
