A splash screen for a neat tool I want to make.

If/When completed, this splashscreen would become part of a free app, which would crawl a list of known fursuit company websites, and extract information regarding commission status from a specially named tag in the pages code, (of course fursuit companies would need to include this tag within the page for it to function correctly).

Once extracted, the information would then be sent back to the app's database which would update the page contents. Which would include whether the company is open/closed for commissions.

If they are due to open within a week of the current date, the app would show a countdown of days to go.

The app's concept was designed, not to reduce the number of visitors to company websites, but actually provide a central location to get information on a company.

The time taken to check the app by opening it and typing just 4 characters of the companies name in order to get a status update, is far quicker than typing in a full URL.

So to summarize, the app would provide a central location (which would be mobile too) to locate commission information about any company you would wish to have make a fursuit (or parts thereof) for you.

Futhermore, it would employ a favorites list to allow you to track up to 20 companies without the need for a search, just tap and go.
