Mediocre devotion.

A quote doth desire.
Sharing dreams,
Mine forever a meme.
Killing myself for you,
As you chase another.
Best friends for life,
Laying eternally in strife.
My heart bleeds,
My heart aches.
I need you here,
I need you near.
I know you care,
For more doth not dare.
Fate is ever dire,
As our love must expire.
Nothing left to do,
Yet expire my needs.
My pain is water in bodies of lakes,
Disguised by a bribe of fakes.
I must move on dear,
Yet my heart is riddled with fear.
Other men
Cannot touch my heart.
You made me whole,
How doth I progress?
I may chase other guys,
But it would only ploy a disguise.
For you see,
In my heart you will always be.

A personal poem I made to reflect my past. I only decided to upload it because it is one of my strongest pieces in terms of emotion, and also, I believe it could be relatable to my audience in one way or another. I wasn't gonna upload this one, as it is very, very personal, but I feel like it needs to be posted. These feelings I have for this guy that I wrote in this poem are non-existent anymore. This poem reflects my past and how I truly felt with it.
