yeah alot of holiday events including my birthday tend to all happen after september, then it all sorta dies down after easter and it's like woah XD i guess the summer holidays is almost like a holiday and break from it all, except for pride month and art fight X3 still love the celebrations tho! just wish i knew how to celebrate half of em QwQ i do apologise for all the delay tho! but i completely understand if you're just as busy as i am ^w^; we'll get to it eventually tho dw!

Winter usually means my travel times are extended—that’s the worst part. Our public transportation starts getting lots of delays in winter. So I leave earlier for work and get home later—makes my day longer! :)
I’m debating taking vacation time in December, it depends on if the new hires get hired before the holidays! XD
I always wish I knew when the theme weeks were for fandoms……like I see a lot of fan-fic writers do pairings for X-and-X week and I’m like, I wish I knew I’d’ve written something too! XD

I think I forgot about a few of my Notes that I needed to respond to. Sometimes I look at something on my phone, but I usually do longer messages on my laptop. However, It doesn't show up as a new message any longer and if I forget about it...........well it takes awhile to get back to it. XD I should check and see if I took it to a Word document to answer offline--I sometimes do that. :)
Yeah, my area always gets the extremes of hot and cold--we get super-hot in the summers and really cold/icy in the winters. I would love to live somewhere mild all year round, but with climate change--I don't think anywhere will be like that in the future. Sad, but likely true. :<
I know that, like for the Transformers fandom--they have theme weeks of particular romantic pairings of characters. Like a few weeks ago there was a theme week for IDW (comic version) Megatron/Rodimus--and that's one of my fave pairings. But I didn't know about it and wasn't able to participate. I'm sure fandoms create these weeks on Discord or Twitter somewhere that I don't do online stuff like that. lol

I wish more people would realize how great this site is on its own--instead of only retreating here when DA/FA are "broken". But, then I suppose, we'd also have the bad ones here that made us leave other sites. I'm glad it is the way it is and has nice people on it. :)

oh gosh i've seen that alot! whenever da/fa is down, some people only use this site for that reason, and i noticed people are only leaving deviantart cos of the new bad layout. but i left cos of bullies and jealous haters trying to steal my ocs and stuff... i feel much more welcome and safe on weasyl tho.. I'm old, so I have a hard time adjusting to new technology. The employees at Verizon get a good laugh when I keep my phone for 6-7 years before replacing it. XD
I think one of the worst parts is that FA goes down for like a day--everyone spam posts 100 things here at Weasyl and then they up and vanish again. I just kind of wonder, what's the point of that? It'd just be nice if people stuck around--if their sites like DA and FA are that unreliable, they might be better off here. I left FA because of bullying and I have no interest in going back. Then I hear crazy stories about FA and DA (like the new layout at DA) and wonder...........why even stay there if you hate what the site does and does not do?

i've noticed that too, i seen a few flood uploads on the site sometimes and i guess i now realise why :o and i totally getcha, people should get to know other sites and appreciate them more! i tried out a smol site called anthrodex, it's a bit like a twitter for furries :3 and while the community is super small, and while the online list is almost empty, some people still interact with me on there and it's really nice and sociable ^-^
i know how you feel about furaffinity cos i felt the same with deviantart :< it started off that i was avoiding some attackers by blocking them. then they got all mad at me for blocking them and their drama, and tried to bypass the block systems and send out attackers, even though i told them to leave me alone. i think the unnecessary hatred went a bit too far, as those jealous haters spreaded alot of gossip and lies, bullied me, almost stole my oc's art, and even went as far as hacking D: it was really scary! i quit deviantart..more like deviantrant! and when i heard that furaffinity was just as bad? i got scared and left it aswell.. i'm really sorry you got bullied tho, i get bullied all the time so i know how you feel ;w; bullies suck, they think they're so cool when they're not.. sorry for the really long message! i tend to be very talkative sometimes-
I'll be 46, next week, I'm getting that much closer to 50! XD I'm still a kid at heart, though--I still love Transformers and I've loved them since 1984.........among many other random things! :)
I tried pretty hard at FA to stay there and just blocking the people, but FA had a block limit back then and with people able to create a new account whenever they felt like it, those that found a good target could keep after a target by creating a dozen accounts and getting past your block limit. Forget turning in a trouble ticket about someone, either--it took staff up to TWO YEAR to address trouble tickets. I figured it was best for my sanity to leave and focus more on making my home here. I miss people I knew over on FA, but I couldn't stay somewhere that stressed me out every day trying to avoid jerks that wanted to hurt people. So, I definitely can understand your situation over at DA--it's really similar to my experience. Once bullies and jerks find a target, they find ways around the site limitations to get to you.
I've tried managing multiple art sites, but for me--I came to realize it was best just to make one of them my home. I have Weasyl to meet new people and share art with, I have Toyhou.se to catalogue all my original characters and I have Archive of Our Own for my writing. It may seem like I'm limiting myself by staying to fewer sites, but it's less stressful and more fun! I don't mind long conversations--I'm pretty chatty as well! :D

wowie! well no matter how old someone is, that doesn't stop me from making new friends :3 i'm quite an accepting person after all! transformers! i gotta watch that sometime! i really like playing in the playpark, watching cartoons, eating candy, playing with my plushies, play pretend and make believe ^w^ i also have an imaginary best friend i like to hangout with, especially when i'm sad and lonely cos he's always there for me no matter what! i love friendship, it's one of the most important things to me ^-^
ohh gosh, block limits sound so dumb tbh! like how are you suppose to get away from bullies if you're limited..? D: i remember having a similar problem that people would keep creating accounts, but not only that they'd make hate posts and hate art to get people against me while constantly throwing a tantrum about it (－‸ლ) some people.. they play the victim and made everyone believe that they're "innocent victims" when they really aren't. deviantart was the reason i gained trust issues (too much betrayal) and i may have been depressed at some point. :c don't worry tho, i'm fine now <=) sorry if i'm complaining too much, please lemme know okay ;w; i'm sorry if i'm annoying or anything!
cool i have toyhouse too! ^w^ it's a handy site :3 i really like how they have a section of the forum where people offer free art requests :D i just love getting fanart >w< especially when it's my fave ocs and fursona! :D there's an event going on called art fight and you can give and receive lots of art on there! i recommend it as it's only on once a year ^w^ i really like to stop and admire all the kind gifts, sometimes i like to make use of em but i always always credit and i'm like super thankful! have you ever received art of your characters? it feels so nice don't you agree? ^w^ i think i might buy some commissions sometime! but for now, i gotta save up for my new house-
I think people have realized the internet allows them to act like jerks and not take any real responsibility for their actions--since most of the people they never meet in real life. It's easy to be a bully, when you're not face-to-face with a person.
It's far better to be on a site that makes you feel welcome and you can share. Like for writing, I originally tried the very popular fanfiction.net--but I barely got anyone reading my stuff and it has the absolute worst interface for "good writing" (paragraphs, scene breaks--none of that is easily done with FF.net's writing interface!). One person suggested AO3 to me and a RL friend of mine had an invite code--and I found it was a far better site for interaction and sharing. Plus, I didn't have to destroy my story to suit FF.net's poor writing interface program. XD
I do art trades sometimes, when I'm not busy at work. Of course, I just returned to work after two months--so my life is a little crazy now. laughs But some other time, maybe we can do an art trade. :)

yeahh.. i guess that's how some kids can get away with picking on others so they wont get in trouble by their parents for it... though i'm not really much of a family's person (i live in a toxic and abusive family) so i rather spend most of my time with friends rather than family time..
sounds good! i'm not much into books but i do like poems (things that rhyme) and i do love comics and mangas! i'm actually working on some comics right now! ^w^

Oh the colors! See, I had a car in a racing game with the same color scheme, and I’d thought that I’d make a character to go along with it. Personally, I think if a character has the same color as their vehicle, it ties in with their personality more. Even his eye color came from the rims of the car.

The inside looks very wood-grain to me--what I can see of any walls, that is, they're pretty covered with figures and comics. Oh......there is a huge Silver Surfer statue in my shop! :o

You must have been closer to Chicago, then? They've got lots of shops like that up around there. Moline is closer to the Mississippi River. :)
But ironically, there is a USED game store less than a block from my comic shop, though they got rid of most of their retro stuff.......only carry SNES for retro anymore. It's kinda sad.........they carry more non-gaming tech stuff than gaming tech now. :<

I left FA because I was being harassed and people wouldn't stop. I was tired of being depressed over being harassed.
My notes are set to "friends only" on this site, because I want to avoid the harassment I got over at FA.

Try getting people to follow up on reports at that site!!! laughs No, I kept blocking........but after they'd make new accounts just to keep harassing me, I was tired of it. Tired of the dumb people doing dumb things..........tired of deleting comments on uploaded art when they'd bug me there. It was better for me to leave the site...especially given the many issues that have happened over there in the past year. That data hack from May is something they're never going to recover from, since the hackers keep leaking info they stole, even now. I'm much happier on this site.........I love the layout and everything much better.........and I've only had to block one person so far. :)

They were picky and choosy over what TT's they ever responded to over at that site. And let's face it, I was a nobody who was probably not worth responding to TTs. It was not worth it to deal with blocking people constantly or waiting for staff to get back on it. I'm far happier on this site............I just miss people from FA who chose not to go beyond that site. This site is much nicer overall than FA was, in design and people and use. :)

DeviantArt, however, is where, I was a victim of bullying, and that really bothered me. So I simply DITCHED that website.
And knowing how I've heard, of people being bullies, on FurAffinity, I've decided, that I would post art HERE, first.

I know why people remain at FA or even DA...but to me, it seems like staying at a site that hurts you, probably is not very good for you at all in the long run. People shouldn't stay where they're enduring such pain, no matter what the reasoning is. It's hard to be happy on sites where people are constantly being rude, mean or cruel to you............and people think its okay to do it because of the facelessness they have on the internet. It was definitely a hard decision to make, but I really don't regret it. :)
People were once "new" to FA or DA a long time ago and built up their followers and user-base at one time...it's not hard to start again if you really need to. And in all honesty, if you are an artist taking commission work and people love buying things from you........they will find you on other sites and still purchase your work. As long as "no one wants to leave" because that's where they're "follower" or "commissioner" secure..............that black hole over there will keep getting bigger. :/

I one day hope that the site will implode and people will need to look elsewhere........it may be the only help for them. I'd personally feel unsafe over there since the hacking anyways, so I'm really doubly glad I left. @_@

That's why I even have a new art website, in mind; one that is at least, TRULY STRICT, on the "bullying" issue! (And when it comes to protests, no matter HOW ridiculous they may seem, you may speak about such concerns, but only if there's no harassment, threatening lives of innocents, or enforcing a corrupt dictator influence, with groups, such as ISIS.)

Yeah, there are people I miss from FA who didn't want to keep in contact in any other way...but I really had to leave. After spending a year enduring hate shouts/messages and bullying...I had to leave. It was too painful to be there and admin wasn't doing anything. You can block and block...but they'll keep doing it anyways. I think some people got mad that really good artists were giving me freebies...and one person got mad at me for an anime pairing I like (so he and his friends kinda came after me--but why get bent out of shape for that???)...but it's hard to tell why I got targeted, since I was nice to everyone I talked to. Just...I got targeted for harassment and I had to leave. sigh
I like being here on Weasyl...it's a great and well organized site. It's "quiet", because people won't leave DA and FA...but 99.9% of people I've talked to here are super nice! :)

I remembered you were interested in Mighty No. 9... and after the terrible launch it's had I wondered what your thoughts were on it.
I have none yet. I didn't care a lot because I was never a huge fan of classic Mega Man, and I knew MN9 was in trouble as soon as one of the character designers wanted the main hero turned into a girl for Tumblr-brand-feminist reasons.

I can't yet play my copy until I can somehow do a patch download for my WiiU....................without internet. :/
I'm disappointed to hear how bad it's gotten, since the demo I played at AnimeExpo last year was FANTASTIC...it played exactly like a Mega Man game should have played. That said, I think pouring so much effort into a pointless and dismal "online multiplayer" mode was what probably really ruined the game the most. The online multiplayer is what kept delaying it since last September and is probably the reason the game has so many bugs that patches were needed the week the game came out. :<
For goodness sake...................let people play a single-player game alone in their own homes without getting the Internet involved. Seriously................. sigh

Supposedly the game "bricking" the console is a rumor someone started. Kilo heard the rumor, but she found no REAL actual person whose system was damaged. But I won't be able to play the game without an update/patch. So it's still going to be untouched for awhile until I can figure it out. :/

The fighting game that was going to be "MLP: Fighting is Magic" is now called "Them's Fightin' Herds" and has an Indiegogo campaign start date (not even a release date) of September 21.
I try to be excited about it because Lauren Faust is helping make it, but it stinks of "Fighting is Magic with all the serial numbers filed off". We have a cow named Arizona whose animations are just barely tweaked from those of Applejack in the original game, and an elegant, classy-looking deer named Velvet with Rarity's perpetual bedroom eyes... and "darkness is just misunderstood", as in the brony fanon that Luna did nothing wrong and Celestia banished her because she's evil? I hate to judge movies, games, TV shows, etc. before they come out, but this is simply beyond belief. Any buzz I had for this new game was completely obliterated in just a couple of days! Someone other than bronies better buy it in spades, because this is screaming commercial bomb.

Oh, it definitely will, it's not an obstacle now that it's FiM in everything but name. But after all the proud claims that you've developed an entirely new IP, is seriously "FiM in everything but name" the best you've got? It doesn't technically count as a ripoff because Lauren is involved, but it's lousy. It's just like those bootleg Famicom games that paste Mario's head onto other characters and call it a Mario sequel... or maybe even the closest thing the brony equivalent of "Fifty Shades of Gray".
You know what I'm still deathly afraid of? That Lauren will turn out to be just like George Lucas. A talentless hack who had to hide behind other people with actual talent to make up for what she didn't have...

I grew up with G1, so I'm partial to the G1 era...but I can honestly say I've fallen in love with IDW's G1-inspired comic books. They've just developed the universe so amazingly!!! rolls around It's hard to wait 4 weeks between each issue in each series!
But I honestly love ALL Transformers stuff except "Transformers Animated" (I wasn't a fan of "Teen Titans" and the show was just TT with robots)--I just picked up the game "Rise of the Dark Spark" today and can't wait to play it!!!!! squeals
I have tons of BW toys...I think I have every version of Airrazor that they put out.......... lol

I really like MTMTE, but dang, that art style of Windblade is just begging me to acquire the comics and read them. Hahahaha waiting for an update on an astounding story makes the minutes crawl by at a snail's pace.
Oh? TFA's one of my favourites, but I liked Teen Titans. Of course, I also like Beast Machines, and there are a bunch of people who don't, so I'm not going to flip out. XD We're all entitled to our own preferences and opinions, after all. Oooooh you did?! That's fantastic, I hope it's an excellent play! I bought Fall of Cybertron ages ago, but my brother insists his computer can't run it, so I'm waiting until I can get a laptop so I can play it on there. :)
Oh my gosh, really? That's awesome! Was there ever a toy for Transmutate? I really really liked zer (trying to use ungendered pronouns for that individual because their gender was kind of dubious).

I just didn't like the "jokey" feel of TT, being a fan of the original comics. But really not anything personal about the series, since I know TT had legions of fans...I think BW had a really well-thought-out premise and with Beast Machines revealing an organic core for Cybertron was a bold storytelling move!
I think there WAS a toy for Transmutate, but I think they called it by a different name, if I remember right..... hmmmm
Oh gosh MTMTE is my favorite of the new comics--dysfunctional Star Trek with giant robots! lol And the Windblade comic is really fantastic! Definitely pick that one up if you can! I just got issue...3 (4?), the newest issue, and the twist they threw in at the end made my jaw drop. flails And now 4 more weeks!!! The Drift-Director's Cut comic came out this week too...and that's worth a look at it!
The new game came out for every single game system except the Wii. I'm gonna ask for the 3DS one for my birthday, but today I picked up the WiiU version (chose that one since I have so few games for my WiiU). Fall of Cybertron and War for Cybertron were both epic games!!!

Aaaah. Well Teen Titans Go makes it supremely kiddy/jokey. And some of the episodes I would show to kids, but others apall me and I wouldn't. Like one where Robin, Cyborg, and Beast Boy beat up Doctor Light just after Starfire and Raven had had a lovely time with him and he was going to be a good guy. They didn't stop when the girls ask, and the girls weren't assertive about getting them to stop either, which was plain disgusting and disappointing to me. And I feel that would send the worst sort of message to kids about what you can get away with.
I love how Thrust gave Obsidian and Strika a lesson on loyalty. That was just amazing, especially considering he's part of WASPINATOR'S spark.Hahahaha I have to get past issue fifteen, damn it! I'll make a concerted effort tomorrow. And yesssss, I have to, I just haven't got caught up more because Comixology won't let you buy comics with your iTunes card anymore, which is dismaying, because that's how I was buying my comics. All of them. Weirding Willows, the robot one I really liked, and then Transformers. Drift? Oooooh, I need it!
Aaaah okay! Hahahaha I don't have a 3DS, but I'm hoping to get one in case Operation Decode succeeds in getting that Digimon ReDigitized Decode localized. Along with with Sonic Boom, but I'm hoping we get a WiiU for that. I have the Decepticon campaign of WfC for my DSi XL (which was my bro's beforehand).

You definitely need to read the Dark Cybertron story-arc.......AGHHHHHHHHH!!!! It changed everything. It's so amazing the comic book runs so well WITHOUT the traditional Autobot/Decepticon war!
And Waspinator played a big part in the Dark Cybertron story arc. grin They began bringing in several BW characters!

It has good episodes, and entertaining moments, but things like that just upset me. There was no good excuse for them.

You never know. Anything can happen with the Lost Light crew looking for other Cybertronians, it'll be interesting to see what they find.
And yeah...politcally Starscream's move worked...but Metalhawk gets revived. You really gotta read this story-arc...ah man. It really just changed everything across all of IDW's titles! Rattrap is kinda like Starscream's right-hand-lackey, so he's got a really big role...and in the Windblade comic, wow, he's kinda VISCIOUS!

True, true. I could not believe Rodimus's stupidity though, when I saw some screenshots of the panels with Rodimus thinking that cutting off his own arm would be a great plan and change the course of destiny. *headdesk*

They've really gone with Rodimus back to "thinking like a silly little boy" again--in Dark Cybertron, he really gave Orion/Optimus a reason to come back...the attitude he displayed in the Dead Universe was very mature. I thought that after that...Rodimus' attitude would've changed a little, he'd remain a bit more mature. But they went back to "normal" I suppose. lol
Yeah, Rattrap's like Starscream's chief "inquisitor"...and by that I mean "torture to get information". wry chuckle

Huh.... So Rodimus's good moments aren't purely a thing of the past. Yesterday, I was listing off all his faults to my Grandma, and I wasn't even done after two hours because I branched into what led to the stupid decision and what the aftermath was as well as some impassioned defense of Drift even though she completely agreed with me. XD
AAAAAH. That sounds like Rattrap. XD

I guess the writers want to keep all the characters diverse in personality! lol Rodimus has his moments, but his naive thinking makes for fun dialogue, for sure!
The Drift Director's Cut talked about the upcoming Drift mini-series that ties in with MTMTE & the Circle of Light. So there will be more Drift this year!

Oh awesome! :D If you do, tell me how it was! I keep hearing such mixed reviews about it that it's really confusing. Some people are saying it's the best one, while others are saying it's the worst. I do know that Drift was supposedly very good (a person I follow on Tumblr really, REALLY loves Drift, and he said that Drift in the movie was good, so I'm inclined to believe him).
Meanwhile, I've seen X- Men: Days of Future Past, but I'm hoping to take my sister, Mom, and brother to see it tomorrow.
Also, have a good time at Anthrocon! I've never been to a convention, myself, but they look so fun.

I wanted to go to BotCon this year...but wound up going to Anthrocon. Hopefully I will be able to go to BotCon in 2016 for the 30th anniversary of the animated film!
