Don't mind me, just a mirror follow along with your gallery over on FA. You do some brilliant work, and I look forward to seeing more!

D'aww, you're too kind. I said it before, I'll say it again -- I feel your work is much better than mine! <3

Thanks for hosting the fun matches! X3

    • Link

No problem! It was a pleasant surprise for the two of us -- hopefully you didn't mind the no-item mode! (Not sure how that Final Smash snuck in. Hah.)

      • Link

Not at all! I enjoy no-item matches. X3 Hopefully I wasn't too much of a bother. XP

Loved your Spotlight, and your motto is awesome too! I tell the same thing to my friends that say "I wish I could draw" I just tell them "We all started from stick people and box cars, but if you constantly look for ways to make it better, you'll blossom into something amazing."

    • Link

That motto got me through some first year classes. Hah! If I hadn't stumbled across it (I actually don't watch Adventure Time often! Someone told me that's definitely where it's from.), I probably would have been even more down on myself. I still was, but I was a newbie, and I didn't quite have the "don't compare" thing figured out yet.

Thank you, by the way! It's great to know people are enjoying that spotlight so much. :D

I saw your spotlight interview on the Weasyl Tumblr. Nice art!

    • Link

Thank you kindly! I hope you enjoyed the read, and much appreciated! I'm glad you approve. <3

Thanks for the inspirational words through your spotlight! I, personally, don't struggle too much with comparing myself to others, but it's something I have to deal with from friends and others comparing themselves to others, or worst of all, to me. I never know what to say to them, but I think you totally nailed it. :)

    • Link

Nailed it is good! I worried, and worry, that I rambled slightly within it, but I'm glad you find it accurate. It's still a feeling that continues to creep, but someday it'll go away, I'm sure. I hope you enjoyed the read!

      • Link

I tend to ramble a lot myself and didn't find your interview rambly at all. :) I enjoyed reading it very much!

  • Link

Congratulations on the spotlight, darling :)

    • Link

Much appreciated! I hope you enjoyed reading it! :D

  • Link

    Wicked arts!

    • Link

      Thank you kindly! :)

    Gratz on de SPOTLITE!

    • Link

Yeah, seriously! Must feel good. :D

      • Link

It's overwhelming if anything! I wasn't expecting to log in tonight and see so many notifications. I'm just glad to know people enjoy it, and want to follow. Now the pressure is on to keep up the standard!

    • Link

Thank you kindly! I hope you enjoyed reading it~

Also, if I may say here, your icon is fantastic. Love it.

  • Link

    Oh good golly your style is so pretty ;w;

    • Link

Ahhh, you're too kind! I'm glad you find it so! And I hope I continue to make things you deem pretty -- I'll do my best for you~ Thanks!

    Your work is fantastic!

    • Link

      Ah, you're too kind. <3

Thank you! I'm super glad you like!

Glad to see I stumbled across your page here. I simply adore your work which is like a mix of concept/comic stylings working so well together. I can't wait to see more work from you pop up in my inbox!

    • Link

Comic + concept is not a combination that occurred to me, but you know, given my influences and interests, that might be the most concise way of describing what I'd like to be doing. (And starting to achieve, I hope.)

Thank you as well! I'm glad you like! I'll do my best to keep the Follow worth your time~

Hey! I found a way to get around Weasyl darkening monochrome images like we were talking about on Stigmata's stream. Adding a tiny bit of color to the image (in my case, I signed it in a very dark purple) cleared the issue right up.

It's kind of a hack, and it makes the file size larger than it absolutely needs to be, but at least it fixes the problem.

By the way, I really like your stuff!

    • Link

Ah, you'd think that would have been obvious! It didn't even occur to me to splash color in. Well, I feel a bit foolish now. Haha! I don't mind if it tampers with file size at all, long as I can still get it uploaded.

And thanks! Right back at you, as well~

(There would be a :coffee: here, but. . . I don't think this site has :coffee:s. Now what am I going to put in nearly every comment. . . Hmm. . .)

I'm like the last person you wanna ask about that because my answer would probably be "8=D"

        • Link

I should say, I tried applying a very, VERY light blue wash over the thumbnails of my recent two submissions. Worked like a charm. The thumbnails are perfect, and barely even noticeable that I applied color.

          Thank you!

          • Link

Awesome! I've been slightly altering the color temperature of my monochrome stuff in post to be slightly cooler, which basically amounts to the same thing and results in flawless uploading.

  • Link

Ooh, awesome! I love artwork like yours <3

    • Link

I hope the rest of what I'll be uploading is up to your tastes as well! I previously leaned a lot towards realism and perfection but I've begun to get bored of it a bit. The messiness is a welcome change.
