Jesus christ on a unicycle. by Mander

This job has gone from part-time, to full-time.

I have -NO- time anymore. I am awake an average of 3 hours when I get home from work, and then I completely pass out. My days off aren't together, they're sporadic, and ever since Halloween ended i've been working 6 days a week, 40+ hours a week.

With this in mind i've closed commissions until further notice. I simply don't have time anymore, and once MFF is over i'll probably be sending out refunds. The guilt is eating me alive, and i'm tired of keeping people waiting.

So, yea.

I apologize to those i've made upset or been delinquent on, it's not fair to you. I just.. I wasn't expecting my hours at this job to skyrocket like they have, and based on the things i'm hearing, they're not going to slow down any time soon, either.

Fnnnnnnnnrg.

unfortunately i cannot buy commissions since i dont have any money yet.. but.. i think i can speak for a lot of people when i say that it is alright that ur "this" busy. if i were to buy one of ur pieces and i had read this, i would have thought reasonably and realized that, ofc, you have a life, and that it would be "unfair" if i expected you to go by my own expectations when it comes to the deadline and how your life is. Any person who does that is a person id rather avoid because of how unfair that theyd treat the artist. so i say for many, its alright.

I have some amazing customers, they've been incredibly patient with me, and I can't then enough for it.

This is not work/life balance. I hope the situation is temporary.

It's really, really not. They somewhat expect people to stay over and earn piss change for doing so. I mean the OT is nice, but.. being left behind to clean up the entire mess? Not so much.

And what really sucks is that they can get away with it because conditions are no better anywhere else.

Not really no, but if I stay long enough I get insurance. So.. meh.
