    1. Try to see what's distinctive in your art as you move it through different mediums: pencil, charcoal, watercolors, digital, etc. Grab that distinction/uniqueness and build on it.

    2. More rats... But don't listen to me, I'm biased. Ha. Well, I've never seen you draw comics, that would be a nice addition.

    3. Try spamming their submission inboxes, write a journal every week or couple of times per week to appear like you'r alive and kicking. ;3

      Noted.

I have these exact same problems....

You're much more skilled than I am, but I'll try to find something useful to say that hasn't already been said.

The majority of your works that I see (sticking to the first page mind you) are either facing left or straight at the viewer, with perhaps a slight angle. Maybe try some different viewing angles (I do like that one of the horse that is facing away).

Many of them are still portraits, or slow-action (such as Wind Walker. There is wind movement, but still a very calm scene). I'd like to see more fast action, such as Wild Ride. That has great energy and wonderful overall composition concerning the perspective.

      Noted,

Thank you for your input. [Grin]

Also perhaps offer some smaller commission sizes for those of us that are poor. I'm not saying cheapen your art, because your time, effort, and sill you've put in really shows and it's worth every penny, but most of us cannot afford such large pieces. Maybe some ACEOs that we can throw $30 at or something.

I have been thinking of ways to do this.

    *skill not sill

I'd like to see more interesting backgrounds, and characters interacting. Maybe you could illustrate some scenes from literature? Perhaps do some fanart?

    1. As someone stated above, try expanding your choose of medias.

    2. I actually love seeing your non-furry artwork as well as your fan artwork.

    3. Social media of some kind. It doesn't have to be Twitter, but pick something you find that works and post updates regularly, once a month, twice a month or whatever. The post don't have to be "I"m taking commissions" or "I posted new art", they can be just about anything.

Thank you for your advice, its been noted [Grin]

You know your work better than anyone else, you know what you need work on/what is your weak areas, those are what you should do more of to make your work better (if that is even possible).

Its is possible, and your flattery is appreciated... Sometimes, patrons/viewers of art can see things that the artist can not see. A good Artist develops on their own, a Great Artist asks for help.

I know that others can see things we can't, but I also know that as an artist, I know what I need to work on most to get better! :)

1.“How do you suggest I improve my Art?”
Not sure what to suggest in this regard considering you do a pretty good "realistic" style as it is. Perhaps try going for more dynamic posing of your subjects?

2.“What would you, my viewers/fans like to see in my Art?”
Perhaps go for some more different species than the "norm?"

3.“What way do you suggest I do to increase my visibility and viewers/fans/customers?”
This is one of the most difficult things for an artist to do. Typically going the more adult route tends to be the path most taken, but I would advise against it.
Personally, I would suggest going the quantity route, and just spam the heck out of the art feeds to the point that people can not see your artwork any where.

Thank you for your input. Your the first to suggest NOT doing adult material. I find that impressive. Your advice is noted. Thank you [Grin]

Well it is just becoming the overly trodden path taken by way too many, which I think dilutes any affect that it may have. There is only so many ways you can do a tasteful nude before the need to be noticed requires you to take it to a higher level. You get raunchier, change your style to accommodate some new fetish or more. And there is always a new fetish on the market.

And when that does not make you any more famous than you were before, you push your limits even further. Then at some point you are just sacrificing everything by literally throwing random "filth" on paper in the hopes that something bumps the number of favorites or followers up another mere notch. Then if that was not bad enough, the pool of fans that you do build up eventually become desensitized to what you have done so far over time any way, and demand that you do much more. It can be a rather viscous cycle.

I know that it sounds rather cynical, but unfortunately it does seem to be the way things are these days.

Fame can be a very addictive drug. Especially to an artist that sees fame a validation (I am guilty of this). Most artist want validation for their efforts, and most will do anything to get it (I am not guilty of this tho). Never realizing their fans are fans of the subject matter and not the art it self (I like to believe my fans and followers are not guilty of this). Grin
