I was recently confronted by a musician looking for an animation to compose and play a live performance to. I took it as an opportunity to make some ambient animations of Alette and Beau that I had been sitting on for a while, got a little ahead of myself and wrote out a 17 minute long animation consisting of about 40 shots to finish in about a month. Thanks, ADHD!

The animation itself has a story, following the day before Alette and Beau left the house, but it's largely in the background; the shots are long and meditative with a focus on the environment and the things that live in it, mirroring the myopic lives Alette, her family, and Beau have been living deep in Louisiana's swamps and away from civilization after the apocalypse.

I'm nearly half through drawing out all the shots, with one test shot animated. Patrons on my Patreon have access to my work doc and all preproduction work, and of course anyone can go read the animated comic here!:
