I don't post journals a lot and I don't ask for anything often, but this is one of those times I feel like I need to beg. I just now read the following journal post and I am absolutely heartbroken to hear of this couple's horrendous loss. I've copied and pasted Chiv's original FurAffinity journal post here:

"On Sunday Melanie (furaffinity.net/user/melaniecaffrey) and her husband, David, (furaffinity.net/user/davidcaffrey) had a devastating fire COMPLETELY DESTROY their home and almost claim their lives. An electrical fire broke out while they were sleeping and quickly spread. David was able to grab Melanie who was disoriented and throw her to safety. Sadly three of their pets including their dog died in the blaze.
David is now in critical condition with second degree burns after saving his wife. ;; They have lost everything but each other and one of their cats. Imagine if you lost everything. Your pets, your home, all your art supplies, clothes, cherrished keepsakes. Its just all gone, what would you do?

I don't know either of these people, but I have an extremely hard time hearing of something like this happening to good people, which they clearly must be if they are friends of Chiv, and just standing idly by doing nothing to help. So I felt it was necessary to pass this message along. Every little bit helps in tragic times like these, so if you can take a second to repost this information and/or donate to either the Go Fund Me or Paypal links, I know it would mean absolutely everything to these people.

If there is anything at all you can do, please do it. I've seen our beautiful, wonderful community make miracles happen for people before and I know we can do it again if we all do our part to help a young family in desperate need of the kindness of strangers. I know that if I were in their shoes, I would want people to be there for me, so I feel like it's my duty to be there for them in their time of need any way I can. I hope you all feel the same way.
