I'm kinda....eh on it so far? It's EXTREMELY bare bones and I'm not overly impressed with it. There's not even an "x users online right now" thing at the bottom. I've seen a small handful of the people I watch making accounts though so I guess it doesn't hurt? I'm just kind of afraid it'll go down the same road as Nabyn and all the various other gallery sites that never really make it off the ground. But maybe with all the scandal lately it'll be able to reap the benefits of the people who are leaving...not that there have been many.
Or maybe I'm just missing something? Am I not seeing Furrific's major features? What's the site's appeal for those of you who are using it?

I don't mind maintaining another gallery, but only if it's worth it, yknow? If I'm not gonna get any traffic or business out of it, I have better things to spend time on lol

Definitely agree. I'll let my gallery get stale if the site doesn't pick up and make it worthwhile. They do have the advantage of having a cute, topical name though, unlike some. (WTF is a "nabyn"?)

It has potential but it still needs a lot of work to be more user friendly. I made an account there in 2013 but never really got into the features. I prefer Weasyl

Does it have anything over FA or Weasyl? Like at all?

Uhh a cool cover photo. Folder system (beats FA). More species options in tags compared to FA. Filter system.
I mean it doesn't beat Weasyl in my opinion, but it has a few more features than FA and the site builder/admin is super friendly and very approachable. Listens to feedback and updates relatively well. So it does have some good things

The site looks better, the staff are more polite and seem to care more, also to say Furrific is much newer than Weasyl it seems more advanced and user friendly.
Weasyl is still is beta when Furrific isn't (Not that much work seems to happening).
Not to get into a discussion about the recent changes to Weasyl, but they have pretty much ruined the site with them and given little to no thought for the users that liked Weasyl the way it was, the fact they haven't even attempted to fix it shows how much they don't care.To be honest Weasyl seems to be running out of steam now, the novelty of the new site has worn off now and all the flaws are showing.
These half assed changes only confirm this further, the fandom didn't need another FA.

I'm giving it a try for the heck of it. Sure, it's another gallery to maintain, but it's not that much more work to upload to one more site.
But I agree that it seems really sparse. There are some design decisions that seem a little weird when viewed in a desktop browser, but make a little more sense when looking at it on mobile. Even so, with the majority of the site use being on desktop, it makes it seem kind of blocky and 2005-ish.
