Is being a Creator all that is cracked up to be? by Battlion

Hello, as I was reading through the tropes of Fallen Creators and Creator Breakdowns, is it really worth it.

It's hard to tell went success is the middle point of your life until you fall down into mediocrity and controversy at the end your career or life. Music, Television, Comics, all forms of artistic prowess to entertain and inform the world of creativity.
I can't even see the goodness of it when the background of them is just saddening. People become callous, distraught, or ashamed that they can never live it down forever. It could be their co-workers, their friends, family, business, or fanbase'. I don't even know if being popular of your skill of writing, drawing, filming, or composing just leads to ones inevitable demise of your fame or life. I want to be a creator. I have ideas that just want to be brought to someone, but the constant reminder of all of these events, controversies, breakdown, deaths, and instigation's just frighten me to no end. I'm sorry, but if that is the fate of any creator from George Lucas to a smaller celebrity who "disappears" from the internet entirely, then why should I continue and try...

Please share this journal to any other "creator" on this site and beyond.
And comment about any creator (movie director, writer, artist, singer, actor, inventor, etc.) who you liked or inspired you, but then became bad and made you no longer care for them anymore...

Hmm for me I have a few idles but I still know they are human. Some disappear off the radar for awhile and come back with a vengeance. Others branch out and do their own thing. You have to remember these are people and not perfect vessels we can feed enegery and inspiration off of all the time. Sometimes they'll have moments of great success and then fall silent. It happens but it does not mean they are fallen or wasted. For those few moments they made something inspiring to others. That's what one should remember and will remember. It's not nessarily failure to not come up with the next biggest thing all the time. At some point you can say they did have one vs the rest of us that are just trying to nab one spot light of recognition.

Personally I create things because it makes me happy and I like being able to bring things to life in its way. I like to really focus my skills and because of the challenge and thrill. Some do it for fame and money but I see that pretty rarely. You really have to ask yourself why you are in this business. What made you want to join this troop. What inspired you to consider a creators path. You have to take those reasons and push through the fear. We all stumble and fall yes. We all make mistakes or make fools of ourselves. But the best ones are the ones who fight back. They get up and try try again. It's very daunting to think about but its a path. You don't always need a large amount of fame behind you to be somebody. It's the journey and its the path u mmake and your the one that makes its fun. Lol

One shouldn't focus on their failures all the time. Instead learn from them and become better. Forgive one's self for mistakes and you'd live a much happier life. I can see why they'd feel they messed up something great but its never to late to change that. ^^ Humans will be humans. XD We have to grasp onto the good moments and press forward. And it means all of us big and small. ^^
