Process

  1. How to Commission me: to commission me just send me a note, private message, or send an email to zmustaine@gmail.com. Email is a definitive way to contact me, in case FA, Weasyl, or any other medium falls down.

  2. Brainstorming: After contacting me, we can discuss what you would like me to draw for you, as stated, we can brainstorm the ideas.

  3. Process : If requested, I will send out a very rough sketch to determine if the image is looking alright to you, as well as a preview of any step; again, this is only if you request this This will -not- be the end result.

  4. Revisions: If you requested previews, I will only do big changes at the sketch phase. If there is -anything- at the sketch phase that you don't like or looks off tell me, as changing things once I start coloring becomes harder.

  5. Payment: Payment is done in full before I start the image, if you can't pay me the full price I won't accept the commission.

  6. Receiving your image: I will post the finished image on my websites (Furaffinity, Weasyl, etc.) unless you request me not to, in which case, the high resolution .PNG file will be sent to an email of your choice. Even if I post the image to my profile, you can request the .PNG or .SAI image if you want.

What I will draw:
• Mecha (specialize in this)
• Armor (specialize in this)
• Mature
• Softcore and suggestive
• BSDM

What I won't draw:

• Scat
• Watersports
• Inflation
• Rape

(ask for much more detailed info)

Payment:

As stated, all payment must be upfront and through Paypal.
Payment Plan types

Rights and Refusal of Service

  1. I have the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason I see fit.

  2. I have the right to cancel your commission at any time, for any reason I see fit. If I still owe you money at this point you will be refunded the difference at the time of termination. (For example, if you paid for a full color, and I got to the inked stage then I cancelled, you will be refunded the difference for a color piece. You will not get the price for the inks back since I have already done the work, you will, however, get the image up to where I left it, both in .PNG, and .SAI.

Refund Policy

  1. Once work has been started, if you request a cancellation, I will refund you the money you paid, minus the step it got cancelled on; for example, if you commissioned me for a full shaded piece, and you cancel the commission when I am working on flat colors, I will refund the difference between a flat colored piece, and a full shaded piece. This may seem like a harsh point, but I already inverted some time into the commission.

  2. If work has not been started at any stage and you have made payment I can refund you.

Time Estimates

Time estimates are an iffy thing. They can vary on when your order has been placed to how much work I already have on my queue, to issues I have no control over. I can assure you I am a diligent person and if I tell you a timeframe I will stick to it as best as I can. If there is -any- delays I will inform you.

All timeframes below are PER PIECE and are a rough estimate. Please keep these timeframes in mind! You have every right to ask politely how your commission is coming along during the process.

  1. Sketches: Preliminary sketches can take from a day to a week for me to get out. Fixed up and refined sketches take roughly a week from payment or less.

  2. Linework or flat colors: From the sketch stage, allow a week to two weeks for completion.

  3. Full color pieces: These are the biggest time eaters. From the inked stage, please allow 2 weeks to a month for completion. Please keep in mind this is the most time-consuming work I do. It could take up to 5 months or more depending on the project. The reasoning behind these estimates is the fact that I have a lot of stuff going on in the background, such as college, and certain events like trips or vacations (note that is these two are the case, I will inform you before I actually leave).

Edits are possible. If the edit is minor, there will be no cost. If the edit is something large and tedious I will charge an editing fee. Editing fees range from $5-$20 depending on the complexity of the edit. Please make sure to try and catch potential mistakes beofre the piece is finished.

Usage Policy

  1. I reserve the right to use the image as I see fit. This includes, but not limited to posting in online galleries and using the commission as an example at conventions and art shows offline. EXCEPTIONS are made for commissions that were requested as private from the start.

  2. I retain all rights to the image. If I see the image being used in a way I see unfit, I will ask you kindly to stop and/or remove the image.

  3. You are to NOT reproduce the work in any way shape or form for profit. All commissions I produce are for your personal use only.

  4. You may repost your image to your personal galleries and roleplaying profiles, as long as written credit is given to me. A link back to the source of the image (my gallery you ordered from, FA, Weasyl, etc.)

Disclaimer

I draw in my own style. I will not copy any other artists style. This includes, but not limited to Sonic style, Disney style, Anime style, etc. However, if you have a specific look you like on your reference I will try and capture that. Please be aware of my style before requesting services from me and be sure you find it appealing!

Editing and Coloring by a Third Party

If you commission linework or sketches you can color them yourself or get them colored by someone, however, if I discover my work has been severely edited or colored without my permission I will terminate all future business with the client. Artists and clients involved will be posted to Artists_Beware.
