I've started applying for copywriter positions in the Portland Area. Apparently, these jobs come up pretty often.
Here's hoping I can pull this off. An experienced copywriter can make a good deal of money. Right now I'm going for entry-level positions but if I can snag one, it'll be a leg up on making good wages.
One of the jobs wanted copywriters who were familiar with Spain for a travel agency website. Since I've actually lived there and speak the language, that was an easy pick.
Now the down side: I might have to start removing some of my stories from public websites if I get a job off the groudn, depending on what the expectations of the job turn out to be. Rest assured I will make as few concessions as necessary as I value my creative autonomy.
