On Cecil the Lion by Zorayda

What happened was terrible. As a person who has always dearly loved these beautiful animals, I was--am--legitimately upset to the point of tears. I know it happens all the time and I've seen the other animals this disgusting man has murdered for no purpose other than to feed his ego and sadistic need to kill innocent animals. But Cecil... I knew of him, not a whole lot, but I'd heard of him. When I heard he died and suffered before he did, likely scared and trying to escape, it just made my heart clench and made my stomach do flips.

Cecil was a gorgeous male who had a pride of lionesses and several healthy cubs. He was protected until money made the guards betray him--they are equally guilty in my eyes, if not worse. To stand by and let this happen. How low can you get?

Please. Find an animal reserve, a big cat protection agency (there's one through Nat Geo), anything--and donate to them. Or spread the word about Cecil and let people know how they can help. A dollar. Five bucks. Volunteer your time. Something. This Minnesota dentist nobody is becoming well-known for his terrible deeds and we need to make something positive out of this. For Cecil. For any animals hunted ruthlessly for sport. Let's not let Cecil's death, alone and scared, be for nothing.
