Like a Rolling Stone by Pulsar

I seem to be an inadvertently mysterious bird. It's my fault of course; I don't tend to write too many journals about my personal life. I guess I assume most people who are interested in that follow me on Twitter—and even then the details are implied. To complicate matters further, I've done a lot of traveling and moving around for the past few years. I thought I'd write this to clear a few things up, about where I'm from, where I'm going, and why.

  1. I'm originally from Pennsylvania. Cardinals are also native to PA, so that's where Pulsar comes from, too.

  2. I've lived in England for two and a half years, from 2012 to 2015. I wish I could've lived there longer, but the circumstances didn't quite work out. Still, it was a pretty great experience and I'm glad I did. I'm not from England though, I'm American.

  3. I recently (June 2015) moved back to PA from England—but I'm not staying here! I only stopped off here because it's where most of my family is, so it makes it easy to transition back here from abroad.

  4. While I still pretty much have all my possessions packed up, I'm going to continue moving, this time in the opposite direction across the US to Portland, Oregon.

  5. In my professional career, I'm a multimedia producer, specializing in motion graphics. I don't have a job waiting for me though. I'm in the process of setting up my own company to do professional media work, marketing and advertising.

I'm planning on leaving on a road trip on Friday, July 31st to drive from PA to OR. It'll take me about ten days to get there. I'm going to take my time, visit friends along the way and see some more of the US. Once I get there, I'll probably hang around for a while—at least a year, I imagine. But really, who knows. For the past decade of my life, I haven't stayed in one place for longer than one or two years. That's probably why I'm so hard to keep track of.

Anyway, it's another new chapter in my life, and I'm looking forward to getting it started. :>

Dude!? I didn't know you lived in PA. Good old state....kinda annoying at times but awesome!

    • Link

Yeah x) It's beautiful and I'll probably settle down here eventually, but I'm still moving around.

  • Link

Oh, good luck moving forward then! I hope you find Portland to your liking.

    • Link

      Thanks :>

Have fun. When you get there, check next to Skidmore Fountain for the guy who dresses up as Darth Vader and plays the bagpipe on a flaming unicycle.

Easily one of Portland's best attractions.

    • Link

Hah, oh man, it's like all the stereotypes are true!

  • Link

You have to tell me when you get to Portland, I wanna see you at some point. ;P

    • Link

      Of course!

  • Link

You definitely need to put a GoPro on your TT and do some time-lapse stuff of that drive. West PA, Indiana, and WV are all PERFECT for driving videos!

    • Link

I thought about doing something like this, but I don't have a GoPro. I've done the Skyline drive before though, and that's great. Also anything in the rockies. Maybe one of these years I'll make it into more of a project. ;>

Wow. That's a fairly busy life. Most people I know tend to hate moving but there are two sides to every coin. A ten day journey across the United States sounds both tiring and relaxing. Then to start your own company now that sounds ambitious. I wish you the best of luck or fortune in your endeavor.

Thanks. I've done a very similar trip on a motorcycle, so I kind of know what to expect. I'm looking forward to it. :>

    Another Oregon-goer-to-be, eh? Neato burrito~ :p

      There are dozens of us!

  • Link

Wow, Portland? I don't mean to be too forward, but it'd be great to meet you sometime once you make the move!

    • Link

Oh cool, yeah, I keep finding out about more people who live there. x)

  • Link

Remember there's mountains in the middle!

    • Link

There are mountains at the beginning and end of my trip! The middle is sort of like flat nothingness...

  • Link

    Sounds amazing. Good luck ^vvv^

    • Link

      Thanks :>

  • Link

Awesome, safe driving since you'll be doing lots of it. :)

    • Link

      Thank you :>

Safe travels bud and I hope things work out for you in Portland. Maybe I can say hi the next time I'm there visiting my otter.

    • Link

Hey that'd be pretty cool yeah. Feel free to give me a shout. ^^

Should try and make a small series of pictures of Pulsar, The cardinal, travelling around just like the real life Pulsar.
Could be a very enjoyable, fun and possibly even naughty, thing to see.

    • Link

Haha, I sort of did that before, like on my trip to Germany. x) I'd love to again, but probably won't have time. Still, fun idea!

      • Link

Write a Journal, and when you do have the time. Turn the memories into art. Just an alternative.

The dream of the 90s is alive in Portland

The tattoo ink never runs dryyy!

Hey, if Colorado is part of your trip stop, you should check out RMFC; it's happening Aug 7th-9th. Gonna be a lot of pro artists there, and it would be fun to like, idk, give you a high five :B

    • Link

Ah, I won't be going down that way this time around, unfortunately. But thanks for the offer. :>

  • Link

Aww didnt realise youd left the UK. Sorry it didnt work out for you, but looks like youve got exciting prospects ahead so all power to you :D

  • Link

Well then. This is new. Nice to finally read about a fellow birdy.

  • Link

Wow! Had o idea about you starting your own professional media company! 8D
How does that come along if I may ask?

    • Link

Oh not bad. So far I've been focusing on furry stuff, actually, because it's pretty fun and I haven't had a chance to do it in a while!

      • Link

        Haha, cool cool.
More so meant how does one start such a company?
I'm always inspired and intrigued by furries who are able to take their passion for art/writing/etc and turn it into a business/company. ^w^

        • Link

It's mostly having a lot of industry experience, that lets me get into that market. Low cost to entry, but a lot of knowledge and experience help.

  • Link

    Migratory bird..!

    I know it's all over by now, but I hope it was nice. And congratulations on your company-starting ways. :}

      Thanks very much, snake ^^
