Hey fuzzies et all! Few announcements and a question for you!
Firstly, I have updated my Terms of Service! You can find the updated terms here: http://farorenightclaw.dreamchaos.net/terms.html
It's quite long, but I do recommend you read it if you're planning on commissioning me, some things about the process have changed! Feel free to leave comments about it or ask questions, but keep in mind the terms are unlikely to change very much unless a glaring error is pointed out. These terms apply to all commissions going forward, so commissions that have already been paid for will not be affected.
Secondly, thanks to some internal shuffling, I can finally open a Patreon! I'm aiming to get one up sometime in the next 3 or 4 weeks, depending on how things go. Some thoughts about Patreon:
- No, I will not be removing any of the content you currently get to see. Chances are I'll be offering the opportunity to see it bigger and in a higher res, but commissions, gifts, etc will all still end up here at the usual posting size.
- Yes, I will probably be creating new exclusive content, but I have no idea what that'll be yet.
- Yes, I'll have both low and high tiers.
- Yes, I will probably be offering commission discounts to at least some of my Patrons. And other goodies besides! That's the idea, right?
So we come to the question part of the journal: What would you like to see on Patreon from me? What would you pay $1/mo for? $5? $10? $100?! MORE?!!?!?!!! Even if you're not in the position to be a Patron right now, what would you like to see if you could be one? Original art? Cheap commissions? Themed sales? New exclusive content like comics, pin-ups, character reference info, or something else? Wallpapers? Icons? Little banners to stick on your profile that proclaim you as one of my droneslaves?? Let me know!!

Awesome, thanks for the input! Definitely going to have a $1 tier, and while stuff starts out at 'full res images, getting to see Patreon-exclusive art, sketches, PSDs and stuff' it does go into 'getting into a free sketch raffle, free adoptables, commission discounts' and so on. Should be opening soon!

okay the idea of having a banner for being a droneslave would be amazing. jussayin.
i sadly can't afford a patreon outside of maybe the $1/mo tier but i really like how wolfblade has his set up. there are tiers for content but i think at like, $40 bucks a month you can get a sketch every month (i sat in one stream of his and the system is a little weird). with him, he won't finish the sketch (that'd be a neat commission bonus) but instead has a host of people who you can commission to finish his sketches for you. i thought this was a good way to also funnel support to other artists as well. i mostly like commission bonuses since i'm not real big on hi-res art so like, taking precedence over non-patrons or getting a certain discount like some stores do is more appealing to me. i sort of like mid tiers that come with like art packs. i'm a sucker for themed art packs so i'd do $10-20 a month if i got an art pack like ever 2-4 months. i know muzz's art packs were about 10-15 simple images (usually just a character, white background) and i liked those a lot.
i really really love the idea of patreon (it's going back to such an old but tried and true method of supporting artists). i'll be excited when i finish school and have an income of more than 4 figures a year so i can support people like you whose art and concepts i really enjoy.
