Help fight writer's block! by KeeperOfDreams

Well why not. Since I can't write anything for myself, I'm going to cast a baited hook out into the pond that is my followers. GIVE ME DRABBLE/STORY IDEAS. Now this doesn't come without some stipulations, of course. No porn/adult themes aside from violence and/or swearing, and no original characters unless I know you well (that is, I know you're not stealing someone else's OC and trying to pass it off with/as one of your own).

Also, don't expect some amazing novel. This is a push to get my muse back into production. Don't expect anything over 400 words unless your idea really strikes me. If you're interested, PM me with your character(s), a plot idea/setting, and wait to see if I'm feeling up to it or not. :P If I'm interested but don't know anything about your setting I'll PM you for ideas so if you don't have those turned on, don't blame me.

I'm only taking two of these for now because I don't want to let anyone down and I don't want to stress myself out, and it's NOT first come first serve. I'll pick the ideas that shake my muse awake.

So leave a comment if you want! If you need examples of my writing, check out my FA gallery here: http://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/keeperofdreams/ I may not be the best but I aim for quality over quantity.

What kind of themes do you like? Dark stuff, sneaky stuff, heroic stuff?

I'm willing to try almost any theme as long as the plot idea and characters are interesting. I'm not a super science sci-fi type but I like the settings. My strength lies in horror/supernatural/monster-type stuff but I'm more than glad to give anything else a shot! My many years of playing City of Heroes and reading comics since I was a wee sprog gives me a love of superhero/villain stories too.

To make it short: I'll try any setting once, just don't expect anything amazing outside of my familiar zones (horror, superhero, vague noir, fable-ish/brothers grimm fairy tale, some sci-fi stuff)! I'm more than willing to research any given setting though!

Dunno if it interests you since it's not very monstery, but I'm trying to flesh out a backstory/life events for a southern sergal character of mine. Basically, he's a scoundrel, a dice cheat and goes around with stuff in his pockets he has no business having (somewhat like Moist von Lipwig from the Pratchett novels, before the second chance).

When I bring him to conventions I'll give him some gambling paraphernalia with which to "hoodwink" convention guests or or possibly shackle him to my performing partner, a northern sergal (as if one has caught the other).

A sergal you say? I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested! Especially in an OC sergal that isn't some emo, girlyboy whatever. To each their own but ugh, I love sergals for what they are dang it.

I've never read anything by Pratchett aside from Good Omens (which I loved), though I'm quite familiar with the roguish scoundrel character! If you want, send me a PM with more info and what you have for a plot, if any (I hate to shove other peoples' characters into situations), as this seems like something I'd enjoy.

The character also reminds me a bit of Gambit (from the old X-Men comics/cartoon), so I just can't say no. X3

I will type you up something ASAP! I suppose you'd need things like physical description, mannerisms, that sort of thing. Any other special requests other than very basic plot cues?

I suppose since you said 'girlyboy' I should mention that technically he's FtM! Not that he's the effeminate type just... y'know.

            Whee!

LATE TO THE PARTY, JUST THOUGHT OF SOMETHING, INSPIRED FROM THAT ASK I LEFT ON LILITH'S BLOG: Lilith in the aftermath of Luci being sent to Hell. Yes? Yes. Like, not awhile after, but directly after.
