I am me. I think, therefor I am, and that is all I can ever be. I can look towards the future and ascertain a path for myself, just as I can look towards the path, and ascertain where I have come from, but the person that I see in the past is not the me that is before you, nor is the person that I can become the me that stands before you. No, for not only are they different people entirely to the person I am now, with all of my experiences and my existence, they are not the same down to even a molecular level, where the only common thing we share is baseline DNA, nothing more, but nothing less. So I may look upon he who I was, and he who I can become, and consider them not myself, but my brothers, one who has come to pass from the world so that I may exist, and one who will follow after the me that is myself right now has come to pass, in order to welcome him into the world, so that my 'brothers' have a relationship like father to son, with each iteration having different thoughts, dreams, goals, and wishes that is different from the last.

I am simply me, and that is all I can ever be.

sorry, felt like writing a bit of free-form...it's almost poetry, but it combines a lot of philosphers and a bit of actual science..heh.
