Really want to use Weasyl by Luketh

"If you have permission from the artist, you may upload it to your gallery, but the use of the collections feature is strongly encouraged."

I dunno, I read this as "Ugh, alright, upload your commissions if you really have to but we prefer you go elsewhere."

I just feel unwelcome here as a commissioner, and considering the ridiculous amount of money I've contributed to artists this seems kind of harsh. The couple pictures I have actually uploaded don't exist on Weasyl otherwise as the Artist doesn't use the site, but I still copped flak back when I uploaded them. "This is a website for Artists, not an image hosting site."

As far as collections even go, 99% of artists don't even use the system.

Call me jaded and unreasonable. I'm clearing the couple pictures out of my gallery here and won't be contributing to Weasyl until we're not made to feel lower classed.

Hi there! Speaking on behalf of the Weasyl staff, we wanted you to know that your concern was heard. The wording of that section had not been updated at all in this revision, and the staff came to the decision that yes, that section did need a fresh look. It now has been, and it is reflected in the link showing changes to the policy. Please do have a look.

Weasyl Collections Feature: Weasyl has a collections feature. The feature makes it possible for the original creator of a work to offer a submission to another Weasyl user, so that that work will appear in both galleries. The use of the collections feature is optional! If you have permission from the original creator and you do not wish to use the Weasyl collections feature, you are welcome to upload it to your own gallery, providing: the work has been created by someone else for you; or features you, your character(s), or intellectual property.
