In order to keep a clear record of the effects of the policy change and how it was handled I will be Providing a table that keeps track of the changes in the site rankings. My theory is that they'll be significant enough to be interesting. I will get the rankings from here: http://www.alexa.com/

We will start at June 19th, I will update this for two weeks, or when it stops being interesting. As an example, when Project Pheonix was announced, Weasyl's standing went up over 100,000 ranks. Interestingly though, FA didn't go down any. I expect this to have a similar impact to the layout of the furry social sites. I want a more thorough tracking this time around so that I can have the exact numbers in an easy to access locations. See the pheonix numbers here. There is some in the comment section too at the bottom.

June 22

The day when the adult ads were added. At this point there is no noticable change from the normal behavior the sites were going through. All four have been on a very negligible, yet steady, decline since April. These numbers will give a sense of normalcy on the chaos sure to come (perhaps).

June 23

The day after the announcment sees no major delta from the current course of all the major furry sites. Rate of decrease in ranks lowered across the board.

June 24

In the Thursday following the adult ad debacle we see an uptick in both FA and SoFurry. It's still to early to conclude if SoFurry will start to boost. Over the three days the delta of SoFurry's ranking has been the most significantly changed.

The up-tick in FA may be curiosity from individuals wanting to see the adult ad problem, but it also may be normal fluctuations.

June 25

The three days of the end week uploaded all on 6/28. The trend seems to continue with all three staying the course and SoFurry making upticks. Weasyl, for some reason though, is the loss leader of the weekend.

June 27

FurAffinity continues to oscillate while SoFurry's growth stops for the day. Weasyl continues decline. Inkbunny oscillates gaining its loss from yesterday.

At this point, barring any trends to the different I will update the whole week's worth on a new post. It'd probably be more meaningful to have larger swatches instead of daily chunks for overall trending purposes.

June 27 - July 4th

It is clear at this point that the sites are continuing their normal trends as far as visitations go. All continue to trend downward in the summer months.

The announcement of Phoenix and Zauch had a far greater visible impact than the ad debacle. However, the question in the coming months will be what the internal damages were as far as how much of an uptick there was in Ad Blockers being used.

Because now as a private enterprise the question is not "Are they getting the users?" it is, "Are those users profitable?"
