I know only a small handful of artists I've commission will actually see this. But my depression has been super bad over the last few months and has been boiling over and making me particularly emotional...

I just wanted to tell all the artists who've ever done any sort of art for me, whether a commission, request, or a gift... The stuff you've done for me means more than you'll probably ever know. Regardless of content or rating, it means so much to me and makes me super happy, a feeling that is often very fleeting for me.

Knowing I have something in the works is like the only thing I ever have to look forward to on a day to day basis. As finally getting it gives me a huge high.

Art has proven better than medication and therapy for combatting this heavy ominous fog that is my depression. It allows me to project the significantly repressed positive feelings like happiness, love and affection onto something that, while not directly me, is part of me.

So... For those if you artists that see this, whether you're one I've commissioned before, or want to commission in the future... From the bottom of my cold grumpy heart...

Thank you for why you do... It means a lot to me, even if it's just a paycheck for you.
