I think the only thing this website is lacking is that no one comments on anything. So start commenting! Make it a mission to get people interacting here so they don't go back to FA!

Yup, and fa knows it's hard for artists to leave their website because we all have so many commissioners there. I think it's the only reason they thought they could get away with it :/

Easy way to lure your friends is with free art raffles for watchers on Weasyl-only!

I was actually thinking about raffling off a fursuit head. If I could get more artists to join in perhaps we could actually make a difference in getting members over here!

I think Familiar is doing a base price promotion for those who are following on Weasyl. A raffle or super-discounted fursuit work is nice for consumers, but I'm not quite sure if it is fair or worth the sacrifice for the makers.

I was only thinking like buttons and stickers or small drawings from other artists as additional prizes. I'm not gonna expect anyone to want to toss anything big in, hopefully one fursuit head would be enough to at least get a few people to make a weasyl account

Weasyl would be more active if people would give it a chance. I know FA is the biggest business source, but why still hanging around when they are falling apart? I just don't get that...FA is toxic in one way or another.

I'm tempted to do similar stuff. I might have a grand prize be a material cost head, and then a bandana, or custom buttons as secondary prizes. But not sure how that will work out. Probably will be after I get settle in here! x3

I've told people that if they are permanently leaving FA they should unwatch everyone there.
Enough unwatches should make some users notice. -
FA already screwed over artists by forcing people to install Adblock, which also blocks good ads.

I try as hard as I possibly can to get my friends over to weasyl because of the shit fa is pulling. I think I might delete my fa account even.

A drop in watch numbers could get some to leave.

Y'know, all the artists that I follow in both places, I fav and comment on FA, but usually forget to do that here. I should work on reversing that.

I agree! Especially with the last one! Without comments it often feels like shouting into the void.
I also think this place could do with some DA-style groups. The admin here listens pretty well to the userbase, don't be afraid to go on the forums and let them know what features you would like going forward!
I need to hang out there more myself...

I left FA for making a account that was using for my own commissions, FA doesn't give a dammed sh** about it and suspended my account because of my old one that was years old.

Honestly, I plan on getting the hell away from that place. I just saw like a dozen or so people I watch get baned over small stuff or leave.
