I guess since I have the whole Moogle fursona thing going on I should probably talk about this?
Bah. Wake me when they do V or VI. If I were to rank all the Final Fantasy games I've played from most to least favorite VII would probably be in the bottom half, if not bottom quarter.
Really, I'm actually kind of frustrated about this, they had actually been remaking the games in order up to this point (counting actual remakes and not just ports), now they're just skipping from IV straight to VII. I'd been looking forward to seeing V and VI in 3D ever since IV on the DS tricked me into thinking it was a pattern and now nope.
(Sorry for seeming bitter over nothing here, it's been a bad week and I was already in a mood.)
(At least I can still feel smug about IV getting a remake before VII did, that's something I'll still always have.)

5 and 6 do have remakes though, 2 of them even.

Honestly, I was more enthused when they released FFX and FFX-II as a remaster. FFX has got to be one of the most anime style stories out there, and it gave me feels very often. However, I'd be more than happy to see 1-4 being re-made. There's FF 3 on Steam, but it's nothing like the original, and tries to be goofy more than serious.
