Summer Madness! by DancingVulture

Happy June, friends! A whole lot of things are happening this summer in Dancing Vulture Land. I might be harder to get in touch with me here because of it, so if you want to chat, are interested in a commission, or just want to say hi, email me anytime at DancingVultureDesigns@gmail.com !
Guess I'll kick off this journal with some of the wonderful things that already happened?
First bit of excitement is that I'm a featured artist for June/July in our local magazine, Local Flair! You can find the magazine in print around the Poconos, or if you're too far away, check out the page online here: http://www.flairmag.com/dancing-vultures-designs/ ! It's been an incredible year for DVD so far, with this being my third time appearing in local media. I can't get over how amazing it feels to be getting noticed! I hope I can continue pushing onwards and upwards <3
On June 2nd, on our 10-year-anniversary, my partner and I finally tied the knot. It was a teenie tiny ceremony, as we're both crazy hermits and are not big on over-the-top parties and neither of us enjoy being the center of attention, haha. I'm currently working on my name-change, though I will continue to use "Benzinger" for all my art endeavors. Here's to 10 years rockin' it with my bff <3
OH, also I had my first festival of the season on May 23rd in Shamokin! They invited me down because of my spot on WNEP's Home and Backyard, and it was a lot of fun and super unreal to be recognized from the segment all these months later. Seriously fun festival!!
Now for things to come!
I have an art show to attend this Friday! My first show for our local arts group, the Pocono Arts Council, with the theme "Small Works". Then, on Saturday, I'll be in Hawley for the Art and Craft Festival in Bingham Park! This promises to be a HUGE art event, with 100 other art vendors!
Next thursday, June 18th, I'll be teaching my first ever felting class at the PA Gourd Festival in Lebanon! I'm both very nervous and excited. If this goes well, I'd like to find more teaching opportunities closer to home.
June 20-21st I'll have a table at the Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation Center's Open House! I adore this center SO much, and hope I sell quite a bit to benefit the center! 30% of sales will go right to this amazing place. Last year I attended the open house as a guest and was in love with the place. They released a juvenile red-tailed hawk right in front of us <3
Finally (for June!), I'll be attending my second year at the Delaware Water Gap Artisans Festival! Last year was a wonderful time, and this year promises to be even better <3
July is looking to be almost as busy! I'll be partying down with the Living Room Gallery for their Creepy Crawlies show, then enjoying the Audubon Art and Craft Festival for a weekend long event, and lastly I may be doing a benefit for the lovely folks at Billy's New Hope Barn!
That's all I have planned until September (whew!) so if you don't see much activity from me for two months, that's why! Like I said, feel free to email me if you need me <3 A huge thank you to all the kind folks who have been supporting me with both business and your kind words!! I wouldn't be moving forward without you!
