Hi everyone, and welcome to my new profile! :D just made an account here, and I thought it would be appropriate to introduce myself.

My name is Melanie, I'm 21, female, and live in the Netherlands.I speak Dutch and English fluently, and I speak extremely basic German. I like drawing, videogames, and just generally chatting with people. I design characters and their backstories, and hope to work in the gaming industry at some point. My work is mostly digital, but making a pencil sketch is still essential for me. The medium I use is Manga Studio Debut 4.0, and my style is usually described as being somewhere in between Anime and western cartoon.

I'm not scared to share my opinions on society, and some might call me an activist. I'm pretty much cool with anyone that's not consciously harming another person, and I won't tolerate hate towards people if they've done nothing wrong. If that makes me an activist, then I dare say am. As long as your opinions aren't harming anyone, I'll probably get along well with you. :)
I use a lot of smileys because I don't want to people to think I'm angry when I'm not, and to not come off as a total prick. I can get kind of paranoid what people think of me, and I just look over my shoulder in general. The latter is more because I've received death threats over my work before, and I just hope I won't have to deal with that here.

I prefer to keep personal stuff in my shouts, and I'll probably use Journals for updates regarding my art. If you're not to keen about me whining about my personal life, feel free to turn off Shouts when you're following me. The art is what matters, after all. ^^

I guess that's me in a nutshell. I can't wait to socialize a bit on this site. :)
