I like my art so much better... by Crossed-Unversed

...since I stopped trying to make my lines perfect. Like in Wildclaw's ref that I posted earlier, I didn't refine the lines. I left them sketchy instead of trying to perfect them and I'm so glad I did because it looks a lot more like... well, my own style when I don't try to make it perfect and clean.

I'm not a perfect and clean person. Mentally, emotionally, physically. Hell I'm almost always covered in marker or paint or my hair's messy or my clothes are stained with paint or hair dye or something. Perfect lines... aren't something I should strive for.

    I know this is old, but I relate to this SO HARD. I had a period where I did little but very very sketchy headshots and super sketchy black lines, sometimes even shading with black hatching, and some of my favorite pieces are still out of those even tho it was a lifetime ago.
