Research Update by Threetails

This'll probably be the last update on my research on that Peter Lombard manuscript, unless I decide to take it on as a pet project after graduation (haven't ruled that out).

I found a few bits and pieces of info that will shape my final paper in various subtle ways, but I found one piece of information that will prove very useful.

The book, if you remember, had an inscription at the end saying it belonged to a head master at the "Royal College of Navarre, Paris."

I finally found out today that the College of Navarre was not founded until 1304. That means that I can conclusively prove that this book was not in the possession of the college until much later as even the 13th century date given in the library catalog is too early.

I still wish I could find more information about this book than I've got, but what I've found in the course of the last nine weeks has impressed me.

My final paper is due June 3 (ironically, the birthday of the person who first got me interested in medieval studies about 14 years ago!). I'm anticipating an "A" grade. If it gets posted to the Medieval Portland website, that will be an academic publishing credit to my name and I'll be sure to include that in my CV as a writer.
