Emergency Kitten Vet Visit by Brighttail

Greer (our Border Collie) and Jynxie (our new kitten) were playing in the living room when Greer knocked aside our barrier for the stairs. By the time I had run over, Jynxie had already gone over the edge. When I got to the bottom she was crying, in pain and limping on her back foot. I didn't see anything broken but she couldn't put any weight on it.

Long story short and one after hours visit to the veterinarian, it seems like she had dislocated the back joint in her leg. Of course little kittens and especially little kittens in pain don't like to sit still while being examined so she had to be anesthetized. There were x-rays, a splint and kitty drugs as a kitten is going to want to run and walk on an injured leg so we are really to keep her knocked out for the next day or so at minimum and carry her everywhere. Bottom line she will be okay, nothing broken and all will heal in time. It is just a very expensive vet visit of almost $500.

We managed to pay most of it but I'm asking my friends if you can donate anything to us it would be helpful as we used most of our grocery money for the vet bill this month and we still owe $130.

Anything would be appreciated .. please donate at paypal.com using the email brighttail[at]nrtco.net

I'll see if one of my artist friends can put up a picture or drawing for anyone helping out.

More on her later.
