YCH interest/feedback? by Heskynn
So I was tempted to do some YCH pictures, I really like practicing painting backgrounds but often don't have the time as I need to keep commissions turning over (money ;A; ) but this might be a good way to combine earning money, practicing backgrounds and painting, and someone getting art where they can already see the background is of a standard.
I'd probably do them as a tier system where up to a certain price the characters would be drawn like THIS (only with a fully painted bg)and above a certain price like THIS previous YCH. Though the higher the price up to that point I'll probably increase details/shading to make up for the jump in complexity.
Any interest/feedback?

Thanks for the info, I certainly think it's worth a try at the very least, but it's nice to know other people are doing similar.

I haven't personally gone for YCH's and probably wouldn't, just not my style of thing, but from what I've seen I think it would be worth trying out, especially since you pointed out that you'd like to explore some more background work! I'd love to get a commission from you someday, your work is gorgeous to see, so I hope whatever you decide on works well!

I normally wouldn't either, but that's more because most of the ones I see seem very confining, but maybe that's just me P= the only ones I've been interested in have been ones with more elbow room for what can be put into the image. Thank you for the feed back!

Not sure how much I can directly help, but I run painted scene YCH's every now and then and they almost always get a good response. With your work I'd definitely try it.
