As someone who has been recovering from the relatively recent and sudden loss of a family member I only had the privilege of knowing for a little over three years, this sentence rings true in ways that are difficult to place. I wish you the best in recovering from your own loss, since in my experiences there is no true way of fully "getting over" something like this.
