Hello Weasyl furries,

I am here. I'm not moving here, and I'm not leaving FA. Truth-be-told, I don't even understand why I'm here, save that some of the artists I like have decided to join this 'artist commune' of a site and leave other pastures. Thus far, the site is pretty and runs decently, but feels aloof. The drama related to the questionable 'furriness' of the site, and the attitudes towards non-artists has kept me largely at an arm's length, and will continue to do so until certain policies are reconsidered.

I will be around, and likely follow a few of the artists here. I probably won't be posting much, in that I cannot post here. The admins still haven't figured out how they are going to enforce their rules on commissioned artwork, and the few times I've been able to talk to admin, I have been given mixed messages on -if- they were going to enforce said rules. Makes me wonder why the rule is there in the first place.

I have already given my criticisms to those who would listen, so I will just say this: there have been other sites that tried to do what Weasyl is doing. If you can't remember their names, well, there you go. I expect the site to stick around, but after everyone 'jumps ship', realizes that the problem isn't in a site layout or arbitrary rules, then things will settle back down. I wish those that use this site the best of luck. It does have some features and advances I like, however, bells and whistles do not a community make.
