4 surgeries over the span of 2 months, two different antibiotics, and countless betadine rinses.. Tuesday, Shirley went in for her 4th surgery, and it was a bittersweet day. She survived the high risk surgery, but it was discovered that the abscess extends to her spine... Nothing more can be done to help her, aside from continuing the care routine I've maintained for the past two months, and hoping against hope that this thing won't return.. but given that it's returned four times now.. I know better than to put all my hope into the abscess going away </3
