Short Story Challenge Week by Domnul Eduard

So, considering that the Poetry Challenge Week has been a success in terms of helping hone my skills as well as provide a new way to interact with friends and people around here, I thought it would be nice to do an SS Challenge Week as well, and do the same, for narratives.

So, while I don my black garments and flamboyantly wear my little skull, how about I kindly ask of you to post one word, like in the poetry challenge week, that will serve as a subject for the short story?

that's it, 7 people, 7 words, 7 short stories, 7 days.

This will be also something to help keep my skills in motion, and my sanity in check.

Monday - Madness from Naresie
Tuesday - Tepes from Kishniev
Wednesday -

Okay, let's launch this challenge in a great style. There's your word:

    Țepeș

You really know how to nail it in, do you? :P

Mind you, I actually fantasized over the prospects of writing fictional novels over the character of Vlad Tepes, the real character, as it was historically captured.

I was set between having him lulzing around Hell or a new take on Vlad Tepes' life with actual vampirism added in it (Like Dracula Untold but a thousand times more badass)
Life is full of beautiful coincidences.

Now's a good time to practice around. :)

Why not take it from another perspective? A tyrant is best reflected in other men who he has destroyed.
For example, a story from perspective of a man slowly dying on a stake. One would take quick death from Vlad's sword or mace as a blessing...

              https://www.weasyl.com/submission/964575 and here it is!

Hah! I actually thought of something similar. Except I aimed for something a bit more horror, and aimed on sharing the meditations of a man as he comes to face the Impaler's atrocities. Similar, although he isn't presented as impaled in the story. I hope you will enjoy!

Here is my word for you: Lugubrious!

I am afraid I have done the challenge a few weeks ago.
Though, as the gentleman I am, I just cannot bring myself to refuse a challenge.

Worry not, I shall deliver a most lugubrious literary act!

Hopefully by the end of this week... as it proved to be a rather time-consuming one I had not foreseen... completely.
