News and Updates

Howdy!
This journal is mostly for a post-con report, so I'll save the meat for that part. TL;DR is that it went mind-blowingly well, tho! :D For some actual news, people kept asking if I have a twitter. The answer was no until I gave in and made one, lol. I don't know what to do with it because I'm already very active on other social media, but enh, it's there if you prefer. Added a link in my navigation "bar."

Post Con Report!

Wow.
This was not my first time at FWA, but it was my first time vending there. And I was a little blown away to be so well-received. Thank you everyone who came by the table and took home a plush!<3 Sales were better than I've had in my 4 years of vending at cons... so I honestly think I was in the wrong place. XD

To be fair, it was probably the new plushies I developed seemingly out of nowhere weeks before the con, and now I dont regret it at all. XD They are called FuzziPuffs and they are fat and cute and small and honestly more affordable than my signature plush. If you've ever wanted a certain animal in FuzziMutt style, they will be up as made-to-order listings in my Etsy shop VERY shortly. ^_^

☺ I am catching up with any correspondence about commissions, trades, etc. a bit slowly, so I will update my queue in the next few days to reflect the changes. Commissions are on-hold until I figure out what I need to get done and in what order, but still open to discussion if anyone from the con finds me here! ☺

Many have asked if I'll be at other conventions.
At this point, I'm not entirely sure, as I have a major event planned this year (moving) and have to worry about that first. Application deadlines have passed for the year for any other large cons in my area, and I'm not sure I'm ready to take FuzziMutt Creations on the road to out-of-state cons yet. After the success of FWA, however, I will consider.

I also want to thank my awesome group of friends who all helped out in ways they didn't realize. (Wanna link them all, but they don't all have Weasyl galleries. and do, at least.) But FWA was a con I was able to enjoy after work because I wasn't exhausted from vending all by myself... which is what I'm used to. ^^; We are dorks and are already scheming up fun for next year, lol.

Other Stuffs

I honestly don't know what the next few months will bring, as I am finally, ACTIVELY place-hunting to move. Not far, just out of my current living situation. It's a slow process and I'm hoping that the change in environment won't mean a huge change in lifestyle/workflow for me... but if it does, that's something I'll have to deal with. ._. I want to be more active with my plush business, but bills and life kinda come first, lol. There may be Moving-Sale Commissions or some such if it comes to it.

WELP. I've yakked long enough. I'm going to go update all the things and find photos to post and get listings up in my etsy shop and—... okay, yeah, I have a lot to do, lol.
