I think the sad thing about the state of religion is, the people of churches like mine, and other people of other sects not related to Protestants, Catholics, or Christians at all, realize the wrongs; the shortcomings of their religions, but still want to be there for the good of all people - the relative argument "It's not the faction. It's the people in it".

Skipped church today. There's a man in my church who genuinely means to see me well, and it's worrying to him when I don't show up. Now I'm sure many of you are of the mentality that "You don't have to go to church to be a good person", and in support of you, I say "More power to you". The particular man in question is very old. Like many people of the mid to late 50s period and 60s period, he carries the belief that people aren't much without...Christianity. Already we have the assumption that Christianity is the only true religion, so if any of you reading this aren't feeling very sympathetic with this man, I wholly understand you. In my case, it's a matter of general wellness, not necessarily related to church attendance, but to community involvement.

It's hard to argue against a church - my church - that actively reaches out to people with the sole intent of providing them with what they need to get by. Many other churches do the same, and like I've already essentially mentioned, I'm sure that these churches aren't much, quote, "in with" the churches that do more spreading of bigotry than service to their communities.

It's only fair, that if I have issues with Christian churches who do wrong then I also have the same sentiments about others - who needn't be religiously prominent - who do the same.

Every grouping's shortcomings comes down to the people in charge. I'm sure that in these soft times, most people of most churches don't mean others any harm, even if those others are gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender.

I know many of you know - and see - otherwise, but it's important not to condemn people...
